As I mentioned last week, Austin and I took a drive to Chicago over the weekend to visit our old ‘hood and take in the fun of the Pitchfork Music Festival.
I wanted to stick to a pretty simple formula for getting dressed each day. A lightweight sleeveless top, paired with comfy shorts and sandals was the perfect combination for me. I also set a few style rules for myself to make sure my outfits stayed stylish and functional…
Day 1 // Necklace – Gift, Top – BCBG Generation, Belt – GAP, Shorts – Thrifted, Shoes – Urban Outfitters
Day 2 // Necklace - Ornamental Things, Top – Thrifted, Shorts – NY&Co (Cut mullet-style), Shoes – F21
Day 3 // Necklace – H&M, Top – Anat B in L.A., Shorts – Urban Outfitters, Shoes – Urban Outfitters
Bag (all days) – Thrifted Coach
Sunnies (all days) – Ray Ban
Oh and I forgot to mention the best part…the music! There’s nothing better than seeing a band live that you’ve been digging on your iPod, singing along, and sharing the experience with a humongous and equally enthusiastic crowd.
My favorite sets, in order of how much I loved them, are as follows:
1 Free Energy
2 LCD Soundsystem
3 Local Natives
4 Best Coast
5 Sleigh Bells
6 Modest Mouse
7 Broken Social Scene
8 Neon Indian
9 Real Estate
10 Robyn

You look great! Wish that I could have your sense of style… And to be honest I don’t know anyone from the list!
Aww thanks so much, Chloe! Your personal style is all about expressing you who are on the inside outside, you’ve definitely got it in you! Who is your favorite band or artist right now? I’ll point you in the right direction for some good new listens :)
I am stuck into Classic Rock :) I can never get enough of it and I don’t like anything that comes out now, lol! Love what you said about style, it is totally true! It is funny you said this to me because I know that it is inside me but I am not expressing it quiet yet…
There’s nothing wrong with the classics! :) Give Free Energy a listen, they’re upbeat rock that has a similar feel to the rock of the 70′s. Let me know what you think!
Looks like you had a blast! You definitely got festival chic down- those outfits are so great!!
I am still jealous you got to see all those amazing bands! Hope you enjoyed it!! :)
