I had the pleasure of being dressed for last weeks’ NOLA FW events by one of our sponsors, Angelique Boutique. Of all the outfits, the one that I wore to Creating a Compelling Voice: A conversation about national blogs and local fashion, was definitely my most favorite. That evening we were thrilled to host four stellar bloggers, pictured above, to speak on the panel. They flew in all the way from New York City! The crowd was so well dressed and adorable, I was so proud to represent NOLA bloggers alongside each of them. Check out more photos of what I wore throughout the week here.

Blouse: F21, Belt + Skirt: Borrowed from Andi, Blue Suede Shoes: Steve Madden
Last Monday NOLA Fashion Week kicked off with The Art of Style party. After a full day of preparations I had barely a minute to change and freshen up, in the bathroom of an office nonetheless. Pulling up to the event Andi (one of my two business partners and all around fab gal) and I fixed our lipstick, exchanged a glance, and got out of the car as we soaked in the moment that Fashion Week had begun. Thank goodness she also let me borrow this flirty pleated skirt, perfect for the evening’s celebration.

I still struggle with words to describe this past week. Last Monday, the first day of NOLA Fashion Week, seems so long ago already. After eight months of planning it was an incredible feeling to see our vision come to fruition at last, culminating in two days of runway shows at the Odgen Museum. I am so grateful for all of NOLA FW’s supporters and proud of our team’s tireless hard work. And to everyone involved, thank you for believing in us.
