In the Studio with Jolie & Elizabeth

April 21st, 2011 § 4 comments

Designers Jolie Bensen and Sarah Elizabeth Dewey exemplifly timeless Southern style with their line Jolie & Elizabeth, inspired by and produced in New Orleans. Flirty prints, perfectly structured play dresses, and lots of seersucker adorn their St. Charles Avenue studio.  ”We spend a lot of time on the front porch, sitting on the swing.” Jolie tells me.  ”Just talking, or not talking.” It’s no wonder with such grandeur views of one of New Orleans’ most famous streets.   Their collection of dresses, as they describe, “surpass forced trends that overlook the purpose of a dress: to adorn or decorate; to render pleasing or attractive.” And attractive they are, whether your destination is a crawfish boil or the Kentucky Derby.

Shop the line and learn more about Jolie & Elizabeth on their website. And if you’re in New Orleans, don’t miss their One Year Anniversary Soiree tonight.
