For my first go at color blocking I paired this deep purple-blue blouse with a ruby red pleated skirt. Both of which I happened to find on the same thrifting trip. The occasion? A new exhibit at the Martine-Chaisson Gallery in downtown New Orleans displaying the work of photographer Aaron Ruell. Sound familiar? The artist also played Kip in Napoleon Dynamite that came out back in 2004. Gosh! The photos are fun and quirky snapshots of American life, check out more of them here. I love the contrast of my colorful outfit against them in such a crisp, white gallery space.
