Yep, more mint! I found these shorts after a several day search online for ‘dressy’ scallop shorts. With my new love of this color it was an easy choice. In addition to this casual look I’m thinking these shorts will be perfect with a silk blouse and printed blazer for a wedding brunch I’m headed to this weekend.

I’m always on the lookout for ordinary pieces that have something unique about them, like a forward shape or intricate pattern. Any garment with an extra bit of special detail is guaranteed to catch my eye. Like this skirt, for example, I love the draped open pockets and wide pleats that lay front and center. It’s so easy to wear and a great twist on one of my favorite Summer go-to pieces.

Plans for this weekend include soaking up the sun in this sweet little floral crop top and spending some quality time with my most wonderful friends. Oh, and probably baking some cookies too (I’ve really been in the mood for chocolate chip lately!).
