As part of the Los Feliz Fashion Fest last Sunday several bloggers, including myself, walked the runway to model the lines of a few Los Angeles based designers. I had such a blast getting all dolled up with all the girls, including my fellow models Karen and Lara (pictured above), and absolutely loved the dress I wore. Since I’m normally working behind the scenes at fashion shows I was a bit nervous to hit the catwalk, but it turned out to be incredibly fun and such a rush.

It’s no secret that I love swapping, so when I heard about Jessie’s Scarf Swap I couldn’t wait to take part. This adorable printed scarf was sent to me by Emily of Le Quaintrelle. I just love it! She nailed my style with the vintage inspired print and bright colors.  To play up its flower child feel I tied it up as a Summer headband and paired it with my favorite pair of flared leg jeans.

The print on this dress reminds me of floral paper lanterns, which couldn’t have been more perfect for a quick lunch in Chinatown. I kept my accessories simple to really focus on the punches of color. And just a bit of bright lipstick adds some fun and flirt to the overall look. And the dress you ask? I found it at a sidewalk sale I went to over the weekend – all vintage, all $1. There were piles and piles of garments and, if you had the patience to look through them, many gems to be uncovered.
