Concept LA Fashion Week debuted more than 20 designers’ Spring/Summer 2012 collections in unique multi-room installations and on one long, crisp white runway. While what I saw on the runway wasn’t particularly my style, I loved the chance to see multiple designers’ visions come to life in one central space and the joyful mood that permeated the building. The attire of attendees was almost as colorful as the presentations themselves, too, for even more inspirational eye candy. My party pants fit right in.

Check out my interview here (page 37) in a never before seen outfit and don’t miss the rest of their lovely handpicked fashions and smart editorials (especially for your college gals). Be sure to also take a peek at the spread on Sweet Lemon’s founder, Paris Rouzati (page 72), She’s just too cute for words.

Petals and Pastel

Necklace: Vintage via Rose Bowl Flea Market; Blouse: Vintage, Thrifted; Skirt: LC Lauren Conrad for Kohl’s; Heels: Topshop; Bag: Dooney & Bourke

A quick outfit shot from last week’s Pre-LA Fashion Week party, hosted by Two Point Oh! LA. I came straight from the office in a vintage petal print blouse and necklace paired with a pastel pleated skirt and my oversized work tote. A touch of coral lipstick was a simple addition to take this look from day to night (I always keep a tube in my bag for just such an occasion).
