Blouse: Vintage; Dress: Missoni for Target; Tights: Target; Boots: Dolce Vita Jamison; Bag: Dooney & Bourke
Though I didn’t get my hands on anything from the Missoni for Target collection when it first hit the shelves, I was thrilled when my mom sent me this cute shift dress a few weeks later after spotting it at her local store. I love the relaxed fit and flattering layout of the print, plus the warm yellow and rust colors that are so fun to wear in the Fall. I paired it with my favorite tie neck blouse and suede boots for a pre-Thanksgiving grocery trip and dinner date with the hubs.

Putting the flat iron down, and beginning the process of growing out my bangs, in perhaps my perfect mix of easy Fall layers.

When you put your heart and soul into something, a piece of it always stays with you. Though I am no longer a part of NOLA Fashion Week, which I co-founded back in 2009, I have an extraordinary amount of love and respect for it, what it has become, and everyone involved. Showcasing up and coming Southern based or born designers, the Spring/Summer 2012 shows this Fall continued to recognize the amazing talent in the region. These are a few of my favorites.
