With holiday festivities already on the calendar, I find myself dreaming of sequins and shimmer for every occasion. This Pewter Metallic Blazer from Topshop ($130) is just the right mix practical and special, something to dress up during the day and add a touch of fancy in the evening. For an easy, sophisticated look, wear one with a white tee and your favorite jeans or over that perfectly fitted little black dress.

I have a feeling this may have been the last weekend I’ll be able to wear a skirt without tights until at least Febuary. Though this is my first season change as a West coast gal, and I don’t really know what to expect, I’m definitely looking forward to layering for the oncoming chilly temps. Until then, my mid-season solution is pairing a long sleeved tee with this short chiffon skirt. I sure do love mixing transitional pieces.
